Rebecca Ann Dennison

Rebecca Ann Dennison, age 78 of Summer Shade, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 09, 2017 surrounded by her family.  The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Amy Maupin and Andy Kinslow.  She was the wife of the late Billy Depp Dennison.

Mrs. Dennison was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and she worked at Handmacher for many years.  Rebecca enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers and had a passion for gardening.  She very much enjoyed playing gospel music on her guitar and loved attending church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Amy Sanders (Mark) and Dana Dennison (Robert) of Glasgow; 2 sons Bro. David Dennison (Candy) of Eighty Eight and Greg Dennison (Cindy) of Edmonton; 10 grandchildren; Allen Sanders (Kim), Brandon Hayes (Tierra) and Tiffany Gist (Billy) of Glasgow, Tyler Dennison (Crystal) and Lakettia Melton (Willie) of Edmonton and Tamisha and Jayden Sanders of Glasgow and Katie, Zoey and Abby Dennison of Edmonton; 11 Great grandchildren and her surviving siblings, Josephine Matthews, Joyce Post, Bobby Kinslow and Carolyn Deckard.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Yavonda Hayes and a sister Gladys Alene McCoy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 11th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 2pm Tuesday and from 8am until time for the service on Wednesday.

Ruby Lois Acree
Ruby Lois Acree, age 74 of Edmonton passed away at Metcalfe County Health Care on Monday, October 2nd. Lois was a member of the Edmonton United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker. She was the daughter of William Leon Jessie and Ruthie Fields Jessie. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 6th at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Lois is survived by her husband Joe Acree. Nieces; Genie, Lucy, Kim, and Tammy; and her Aunts and Uncles. Lois was proceeded in death by her parents, as well as her Brother, Joe Jessie.

Harold B. Copas

Harold B. Copas, 63, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, October 1st, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.

Harold was born in Monroe County, KY on March 21, 1954, a son of the late Mildred (Conner) Walker and Guess Avery Copas.

Harold is survived by three step sons Kevin Thompson, of Florida; Randy Hagan, of Indianapolis, IN; George Thompson, of Cave City, KY; 15 step grandchildren.

Harold is also survived by a sister, Betty Fish, of Glasgow, KY; four brothers, David Copas, of Missouri; Darrell Copas, of Tompkinsville, KY; Ronnie Copas, of Tompkinsville, KY; James Copas, of Tompkinsville, KY

Graveside Services will be held at Jane Yokley Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017.

Burial is in Jane Yokley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for funeral expenses.

Tilda Priscilla Froedge

Tilda Priscilla Froedge age 71 of Edmonton passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Roy Thomas and Mamie Jessie Fields. She was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. She is survived by two sons. Jeff and wife Michelle Compton of Edmonton. Michael and wife Keisha Compton of Somerset. One daughter Lisa and husband Ricky Lockhart of Edmonton. Two sisters. Helen Riley of Austin, Indiana and Ernestine Bryant of Hope, Indiana. Twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bob Froedge. One brother Thomas Fields and three sisters. Elvar Coomer, Mary Lou Hamilton and Mildred Burris.

Thomas R Reece

Thomas R. Reece ae 84 of Edmonton passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Metcalfe County Health Care Facility. Born August 29, 1933, in Cofer, he was the son of the late Rufus and Bettie Reece.

Tommy was a member of the Chestnut Grove Christian Church. He was a lifelong farmer, an accomplished musician, an avid sports fan.

Survivors include two sisters: Marguerite Sullivan of Edmonton and Martha Mitchell of Louisville; three brothers, Robert Reece of Edmonton, J.W. Reece and wife Betty of Louisville and Billy Reece of Edmonton, as well as twelve nieces and nephews and their children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Leon Reece, Russell Reece and Ralph Reece all of Edmonton.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.

Owen Richardson

Owen D. Richardson 60 of Glasgow, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Chicago, IL and was a self-employed carpenter and craftsman.  He was a member of the First Nazarene Church in Glasgow.

Survivors include his wife Mary “Cookie” Richardson; mother-in-law Alice Meador; 2 sisters-in-law Sherry Ross and Debbie Billingsley (Danny) of Glasgow; a niece and 3 nephews Wendi Tatum, Jonas, Jacob and Westley Billingsley; 3 special aunts including Mary South of Glasgow and one in New Jersey and one in Tennessee.  He also leaves behind his pet dog, Little Bit.

A memorial service will be at the First Nazarene Church on Saturday, October 21st at 2:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction of the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
